Charging Online Tax
I have been asked this question every time we develop an ecommerce site, so I thought I would address it here. If your company exists in Washington State - meaning you have an office and your business license is in Washington State, then you are officially a business running out of Washington State. Now, if you have an online store and a purchase is made from a customer in California, then you do not charge sales tax on that order.
